Amazon France is a sales channel, not the whole operating setup

Before opening or expanding a seller account, decide which legal entity will sell, where stock will be stored, who will manage returns and customer service, and how VAT and product-compliance obligations will be handled.

Prepare the seller information early

Amazon onboarding can request business, ownership, identity, banking and tax information. Requirements depend on the account and seller situation, so prepare consistent company records and make sure the information used across documents matches.

Choose FBA or merchant-managed shipping intentionally

With FBA, inventory is stored within Amazon's logistics network and Amazon handles much of the parcel operation. With merchant-managed shipping, your business controls storage and dispatch. The right choice depends on margins, product profile, stock geography and the customer experience you want to manage.

Review VAT before inventory is placed

Storing or moving inventory within the EU can create VAT consequences that differ from simple cross-border sales. Review the planned stock locations and sales flows before launching rather than trying to correct the structure after volume grows.
